Understanding Keywords and Spiders - SEO Strategy

Understanding Keywords and Spiders - SEO StrategyYou may have a significant presence on the internet, but if people aren't able to find you, then it is all for nothing.

According to HubSpot, web traffic is among the top two most common success indicators in modern content marketing strategies. As a result, you must perfect your SEO strategy to increase web traffic to your website.

Crawling and Spiders

Search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing use a particular algorithm to identify where a particular website will be featured on their search engine results.

This algorithm is often referred to as a "search engine spider". The spider crawls around the internet, looking for specific answers to specific questions. When it finds what it believes to be an answer, it will record it, and then send out another spider to follow that same question back to the same website.

This "crawling" process that the spiders carry out is referred to as "indexing". Therefore, there is very little (if any) human interaction with the spiders or the indexing. Essentially, the spiders "are like robots" with only a small ' Mind 'of Their Own' to interact with.

This is why search engine positioning is so essential. The spiders are looking for specific data from your website when they index it. One of the crucial things the spiders are looking for is which keywords are being used.

The importance of tags

In addition to identifying the right keywords, you will need to identify where your keywords will be found on the search engine pages (SERPs).

The most effective place on a search engine web page to include a keyword is the title tag. The title tag is the tag that is used in the title of the web page.

You will also need to pay close attention to the meta tags in the HEAD section of your web page (the section included before your code). The title tag is the first tag seen by the search engine spiders and is the subject you have selected for this web page. So it makes sense to ensure that you include some of your keywords in this tag.

As you can see, the keywords that you are going to use in your SEO positioning are essential to help you get a high listing in the search engine results. So before you attempt to write an article, or even a webpage, you must have your SEO positioning in mind.

SEO Positioning

It's important to find which keywords you should use in your strategy, one way to do this is with a keyword tool. The tool will generate a list of keywords entered by a person looking for something on the internet. The tool will show you the number of searches for the keywords and the number of competing websites that are also using the same keywords.

In addition to generating keyword phrases for you, the tool will show you the number of monthly searches for the keywords and also the competition for the keyword. You will be able to see both the global and local monthly searches. A useful aspect of this tool is that it also shows you the monthly search volume for each keyword phrase you may be interested in.

Getting your SEO strategy right is one of the first things you need to do as a content marketer in 2021. Make sure that your site is fully optimized so your website can truly take off.
